Village Social Services

This village has very limited social services. This is why Empower Uganda was established.

There is a Baptist church in the village, established in 2000 with Pastor Julius, where Robert acts as assistant Pastor. The church offers spiritual services to the community and seeks to sensitize the community to issues relating to their lives through community outreach.

The new Empower Uganda Community Nursery and Primary School is now established. It targets children who are orphaned or from impoverished and low-income families. It started in 2016 with 150 children. The number of enrolments is limited due to limited resources, but as we raise funds we hope to enroll more children from the community and those from the surrounding areas.

The community is very accessible due to the presence of Marram Road that connects Mijjunwa village to the main tarmac road of Masaka.
